EYMM Kenzie Holiday Party Dress

Tuesday, November 4, 2014
My girls love dresses! Party dresses even more. So when I saw that EYMM (Everything Your Mama Made & More) was doing a blog tour for their Kenzie Party Dress, I signed up.

I asked my daughter what she would like it to look like and all she said was pink. Not having enough of any one pink to make a dress we took a trip to the fabric store so she could pick some out. For only being 3 she is very opinionated. It only took one isle for her to spot a fabric that she just wanted and surprisingly went with a coordinated plaid. Shortest fabric store trip with a toddler ever. Fabric is DS Quilt Collection from Joann's.

The dress has two skirt options, simple or signature, which is a layered ruffle look. Since it was her dress I let her make the decision, she wanted simple. You can also make it as a high waisted skirt with the same options of simple or signature. You can also get it in sizes Newborn-4T, 5 -18 tween, doll size as an add on or you can get it as a bundle for all sizes.

The back has a scoop with buttons. I love it!
Ignore my horrible bow tying skills.

The dress maybe called a party dress but it held up to running, jumping and climbing.

The sash attaches to the dress at the sides so it won't move around or become unattached.

This was pretty much the entire photo shoot.

Be sure to get a copy to make one. You can use coupon code LITTLELADY for 30% off any Kenzie pattern purchase (also can be used on the bundle) on EYMM website.

Enter the giveaway! You could win a $50 EYMM gift certificate, the Stitchbox Monthly November box, a $25 EYMM gift certificate or a Little Lady sheet of Jamberry Junior nail wraps.

Everyday Tank by SergerPepper

When I was contacted by SergerPepper about being part of a blog tour I couldn't pass up being a  part of a wonderful group of women showing off their versions of the Everday Tank pattern. As soon as I saw the pattern I knew it would be one that both my girls would love. I decided to make one for my oldest and knew the fabric I was going to use immediately.

The Everday Tank comes in sizes 3-14 years. Can be done as a tank, midi dress or a maxi dress. The pattern is a quick and easy sew and with several options it can be used many, many times. There is also optional pockets to add.

I made the tank version and added 3/4 sleeves. We live in Northern VA and it is getting chilly so doing sleeveless didn't seem to make sense right now. I went with the 3/4 sleeves since she tends to push up long sleeves.

She was a little annoyed that it wasn't a dress at first but once she put it on she changed her mind.

I used Happy Horse as the main fabric that I got from L'oiseau Fabric and a navy blue stripe as the accent panels. It has been sitting in my stash for a while so I can't remember where it came from.

Action side shot

She really likes this top. She said it was comfy and cozy. There is plenty of room for movement and easily goes over her head.

She said since there were carousel horses on her top she was going to pretend she was at one.

I will definitely be making more of these. Especially come summer time. You can get your copy of the Everyday Tank on SergerPeppers etsy site or the website. If you use code BLOGTOUR40 you can get 40% off until 11/9/14.

You can also try and win a copy of the pattern. If you buy the pattern and end up winning it you can either pick another pattern or get a $10 credit for a future purchase.
